  1. Copy the CDRom to your hearts content.  The serial number burned into the
  2. SGI chip is used as a key for an encryption string that the software
  3. vendor sends you when you legally purchase the program.  Without that
  4. machine specific encryption string,  the software is useless.
  5. Though I don't know for a fact that that is New Tek/Xaos' approach, that's
  6. how all of our SGI software works. Rather elegant & eliminates pesky
  7. dongles.
